XL Floating Caps

XL floaters are typically for aftermarket or larger wheels. If your current center caps do not cover your lug nuts, XL floaters will not fit your wheel.

How to find your outer diameter

Place your cap face-up on paper, mark the left and right outside edges, then measure the distance between those marks. That distance is your XL outer diameter.

3 Choose the closest XL outer diameter

Tip: Choose the size closest to the measurement between your two paper marks. The cap must be larger than your wheel's bore opening to sit flush on the face.

How to find your back-side size

Remove your existing cap and measure the outside diameter of the raised backside mounting ring. Measure outside edge to outside edge—never the inner opening or the full cap face.

1 Remove your existing center cap

2 Choose the closest back-side option

58mm 2.28 inches

68mm 2.68 inches

Tip: XL back-side size has only two options. If your ring is closest to 58mm, choose 58mm. If it is closest to 68mm, choose 68mm.

Small Floating Caps

Small Floating Caps sit in the wheel center and do not cover the lug nuts. They can fit stock or aftermarket wheels; the ordering path depends on which type of wheel you have.

Stock / factory wheels

Choose your vehicle brand from the Small Floating Caps collection.
Enter the vehicle's year, make and model.
Upload clear photos of the wheel and the front and back of the original cap, including any numbers on the back.

No guesswork: vehicle information helps us identify stock-wheel fitment, but exact wheel and cap details still control the final match.

Aftermarket, replica or custom wheels

Choose aftermarket/custom wheels in the Small Cap Builder.
Measure the cap face and the outside diameter of the raised backside mounting ring.
Upload straight-on front, back and side photos so we can check depth, clearance and retention.

Important: aftermarket wheels do not automatically require XL. If the cap leaves the lug nuts visible, it is a Small Floating Cap.
